On Saturday, August 14th we held our monthly underwater cleanup dive at Point Panic. We had a smaller group than usual but still removed an impressive amount of garbage from the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for better conditions as there was very little surf and we hit the water at slack tide. We were rewarded with good visibility and a lot of sea life too! We saw lots of nudibranchs, hawaiian lionfish, dog face pufferfish, mantis shrimp, and even a white tip reef shark! In total, we were able to remove 84 pounds of garbage. Mahalo to our volunteers for coming out and diving with us. We appreciate your dedication and we really look forward to our monthly cleanups with you!
