Dive conditions were far less than ideal at Point Panic for our monthly underwater cleanup dive. There was a large south swell causing the steps used for entry and exit to be too rough to safely use. We would like to thank the volunteers who were able to stick around and help with a shore cleanup instead! We still made a big difference by removing 38lbs of garbage from the surrounding shoreline and park, ultimately preventing it from entering the waterway at all. We also want to extend our gratitude to Ocean Defenders Alliance-Hawaii for their support and for providing cleaning supplies. We hope to see you next month at our beach cleanup at Waiahole Beach Park!
